Gravity Works have once again has proven that "the sky's the limit" when it comes to facilitating world-class thrill seeking adventure. In March of this year GW was contracted to supply, erect and train staff for the latest big thrill attraction to hit Myrtle Beach's Grand Strand Amusement scene: The Skyscraper Thrill Ride. The Skyscraper is renown as one of the "fastest, most exhilarating extreme rides in the world." The ride is located at Ocean Boulevard and 3rd Avenue South next to Family Kingdom and offers the chance to experience G-forces comparable to a jet fighter, as the ride whips its riders 170 feet in the air at up to 60 miles per hour. National Amusement Rides' owner and president, Bill Prescott is elated with his new attraction and feels it's a great compliment to Myrtle Beach's Grand Strand Amusement area.
Gravity Works installed one its featured Skyscraper amusement rides at Challenge Park activity Complex (Sandusky, Ohio). The new thrill ride will be unveiled this summer. The “Skyscraper” was formerly located in the Valleyfair amusement park in Shakopee, Minnesota, which is also owned by parent company Cedar Fair LP. Gravity Works brought the Extreme Machine multi activity tower design to Costa Rica, making it only the second installation of it's kind in the world, after BCI's South Korea project in cooperation with Daewoo in 2001.
The project was developped in La Fortuna, a small tourist town, nestled in the rainforest at the base of Arenal Volcano. Site owner Pablo Herrera had a dream of opening a bungee operation in this adventure paradise, and with help from BCI, he realized this in February 2007. From this, Arenal Bungee was born .Please visit Arenal Bungee for further information
